The project has been set under the background of Radical Tropicalism. Tropicalism was a Brazilian cultural movement that questioned, appropriated, linked and transformed local traditional culture and international influences. The movement grew in the 1960s, after several decades of radical tropicalism that characterized Brazilian art and architecture. Particularly, architects transformed ideas from European Modernism and International Style to respond to the tropical climate, setting and context through the integration of regionalism, local culture and open design.

The design is aiming to bring liveness to the community in an innovative way. Also, implement the idea of Tropicalism to root on local conditions towards climate responsive architecture and green city.
